Transfer News: Villarreal set to make a bid for Giovani Lo Celso
According to Nicolò Schira, Villarreal are set to make a bid for Argentinian midfielder Giovani Lo Celso from Tottenham Hotspur.
It is no secret that both Lo Celso is not in Conte’s plans ahead of next season has been asked to find a new club. It has now emerged that the Lilywhites could offer him to the Yellow Submarine who want to make a bid.
Lo Celso actually spent the last season out on loan at the Spanish club and really impressed for Unai Emery’s side. He was instrumental in their run to the Champions League semi-final where they lost to Liverpool.
Villarreal are set to make a bid for the talented midfielder. Villarreal are ready to offer €15M + bonuses to Spurs and it remains to be seen if the North London club accept the valuation for the Argentinian.
Spurs have made solid midfield signings and it is easy to see why they really don’t count on this duo. They signed Rodrigo Bentancur from Juventus in January and Yves Bissouma from Spurs this summer.
The emergence of Oliver Skipp, who has really impressed since signing for Spurs from Norwich has also really settled the Spurs midfield and they don’t really need either of the midfielders that Villarreal are linked with.
Antonio Conte seems to have a fair idea of what his team is going to look like come the new season and his message has been pretty clear in the fact that he left behind the players he doesn’t count on from the pre-season tour.
