Speaking in an interview to Spurs TV as quoted by Football. London, new Tottenham signing Yves Bissouma was full of praise for Italian tactician Antonio Conte and revealed his admiration for him.

Spurs signed Bissouma from Brighton this summer and the talented midfielder has already settled in really well in an Antonio Conte midfield and could turn out to be a huge player for the Lilywhites.

Bissouma joined Brighton from Lille in 2018 and went on to become one of Graham Potter’s main players at the club. He has impressed with his quality and it is about time he has his next big move.

The 25-year-old played 28 times for Brighton last season scoring two goals and providing two assists across all competitions. It’s not the numbers that tell the true story with the player producing much more on the pitch.

Predominantly a defensive midfielder who can also play in a more advanced role, Bissouma is a very good addition to the existing midfield that Conte has and could form a good partnership with Rodrigo Bentancur.

Speaking about his new manager, Bissouma was full of praise for talented Conte. Given the Italian’s reputation, one can see why players have great respect for him.

“I’m very happy to be with him [Conte] at this club because he’s living football and I like that, I like the coach like him. I like him because he’s crazy like me. Good crazy because he’s crazy about football”

Considering the usual 3-4-3 system that Conte has chosen to use during his time at N17, such a team has place only for two midfielders and a lot of work is expected to be done by both of them both offensively and defensively.

In Hojberg, Oliver Skipp, Rodrigo Bentancur and Yves Bissouma, the Lilywhites have four solid options to fill the two midfield positions for Conte. Players like Harry Winks are also yet on the club’s roster.

There is a chance that Spurs could still bring in players who can reinforce the midfield. Regardless, the Lilywhites have a really talented roster to call upon next season.
