Tottenham Hotspur officials unhappy with fringe players refusing to quit the club
Officials at Tottenham Hotspur are annoyed by Sergio Reguilon, Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Harry Winks for their refusal to leave the club this summer, according to The Daily Mail (h/t Express).
The quartet aren’t in Antonio Conte’s plans for the new season. They’ve been training on their own since the start of pre-season. There has been substantial interest in the four players, but they’re still at the club for now.
It’s the reluctance of Reguilon, Ndombele, Lo Celso and Winks’ to wrap up their move quickly that has irked people at Tottenham. The four stars have been touted to clubs in the Premier League and abroad.
Under Conte, the squad has seen a reshuffle with various arrivals and departures. We’ve seen some players leave this summer, including the likes of Steven Bergwijn and Joe Rodon.
Tottenham have also brought in many quality players. Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison and Clement Lenglet have been the stars signed to bolster Conte’s squad.
Spurs have enough squad depth
Spurs have got an injection of cash to invest this summer. And the club have used it wisely by seemingly giving the Italian manager the tools he’s asked for. But it appears the club want to do more during this transfer window.
The first Premier League game of the season was a promising one. Conte started a team without any of our new signings. The new additions will get their opportunity, hopefully. But for now, the Italian has faith in most of his previous players.
The four players who aren’t fancied by Conte are eating up the wage bill currently. We will be forced to have the quartet on our books if they don’t find a solution for their future. Their sale would bring in a good chunk of money for the club.

Spurs have a lot of depth in every area of the pitch. Parting ways with the four players is the best thing for them and the club.
