Tottenham Hotspur star Sergio Reguilon could be on his way to Atletico Madrid
Tottenham Hotspur defender Sergio Reguilon could be on his way to Atletico Madrid. This is according to Fabrizio Romano via Twitter, who says that it’s a matter of final details.
He also adds that the deal is purely a loan move with no option to buy. This could indicate that the 25-year-old may have a future at the London club after all.
Spurs rival Nottingham Forest are set to sign Renan Lodi from the Spanish club. Once that move goes through, Reguilon will move to Spain to potentially replace Lodi.
Atletico Madrid and Tottenham are checking contracts for Reguilón deal on loan, no buy option included. It’s matter of final details and then it will be done. 🚨⚪️🔴 #Atleti

The Spanish international joined Tottenham from Real Madrid in 2020. A regular in his early days, the 25-year-old has since then struggled to get game time.
He managed to make 31 appearances for the club last season in all competitions, scoring two goals and assisting another three. The arrival of Ivan Perisic has also not helped the Spaniard’s cause.
Perisic is likely to be the preferred option by Conte on the left wing-back position. Ryan Sessegnon is set to serve as Perisic’s deputy. This leaves Reguilon to be the third choice, and he will likely get less game time than last season if he stays.
A move back to Spain could help the defender. He could cement his place in Diego Simeone’s side and will also get to play Champions League football. A reignition in form could also put him in contention to make the
Spanish National team squad for the World Cup in November.More Tottenham News:
