Transfer News: Christian Falk says Bayern Munich will try to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham in 2023
BILD journalist and German football expert Christian Falk claims that Bayern Munich will try to make a move for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane in 2023.
The England international has been linked with a move to Bayern recently but Fabrizio Romano stated in his exclusive CaughtOffside column that Spurs are not worried about the German giants’ interest in him. He said that Spurs are relaxed about Kane’s future and are working on a new contract for him.
However, Falk has now claimed that Bayern will try to sign the 29-year-old striker next year. This comes after the Bavarians lost Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona earlier this summer.
He appeared in a video with Fabrizio Romano who asked him several questions where Falk would either say ‘True’ or ‘Not True’. When the German journo was asked about Bayern’s intention to sign Kane in 2023, he said that this claim was true.
Kane to Germany?
Trying to fill a void left by such a potent goal-scorer is never easy, but Kane is one striker who can score goals at a consistent rate. He has done so for several years at Tottenham and it remains to be seen if his head is swayed by Bayern’s apparent interest.
Sadio Mane left Liverpool to join Bayern this summer itself but it seems the Bundesliga champions want to sign an out-and-out striker as well in the form of Kane. Spurs signed Richarlison from Everton this summer so we do have cover in case the Englishman does leave.
Spurs fans would hope that manager Antonio Conte, Fabio Paratici, and Daniel Levy fight tooth and nail to keep the Spurs legend at the club. Kane is yet to win a trophy at the club.
Hopefully, he gets a taste of silverware at Tottenham this season. The Lilywhites and Kane have started the season in fine form.
