Antonio Conte hopes Tottenham Hotspur will get back to winning ways against Leicester City
Tottenham Hotspur coach Antonio Conte is hoping for a ‘good reaction’ from his side this week, after their disappointing loss last time out.
Spurs conceded two goals in injury-time against Sporting Lisbon earlier this week in Match Day two of the Champions League group stage.
Now they turn their focus to the Premier League and the Italian boss is hoping for a win. In an interview published on the club’s website, the coach gave his expectations.
You know very well that we have to try in every game to get a win. This has to be our mentality. You have to understand that when we lose, we are totally in the opposite side, and for this reason we need to be a bit angry, and to try and have a good reaction.
Conte’s men are unbeaten in the league this season. They have played six games so far- winning four and drawing another two. This unbeaten run stretches back to April and the coach will hope to extend it this weekend.
But the manager has warned his side to not take their next game against Leicester City easy. The Foxes sit at the bottom of the table after having lost five successive games on the run.
Now we have the possibility to play another game in the Premier League, and for us it’s important to get a win, but at the same time you know you’re going to play against Leicester. For me, the table at the moment is not faithful to them because we are talking about a really good team, a really good squad.
It is true what Conte has said. Despite their poor form, the Foxes are led by a talented manager in Brenden Rogers. They will hopefully give their everything in this game and get back to winning ways.
This will be the club’s last game this month before the players leave for international duty. After they return, they will take a short trip to face their arch-rivals Arsenal, who are at the top of the table currently.

Fans will be hoping for a win this Saturday. If everything goes in our favour, we could finish this month at the top of the table. Hopefully, we stay there come the end of the campaign.
