Tottenham star Hojbjerg stars for Denmark in huge win vs France
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg continued his impressive start to the season and starred in Denmark’s massive win over France in the last UEFA Nations League match, which allowed Denmark to stay in League 1 in the league’s standing.
The Danish midfielder continued his fine start with an impressive display against a strong French team and kept the team’s new midfield pivot of Aurien Tchoumeni and Edouard Camavinga at bay for the entirety of the game.
Although Denmark was not able to cement its place in the top four with Croatia winning the group with 13 points, the team did enough to stay above France and Austria and stay in League-A.
Hojbjerg is set to be at the heart of the Danish midfield which looks really solid and does look like the part ahead of the upcoming FIFA World Cup in November, where they would be facing France again.
Denmark’s game against France was the last official fixture for the side before heading to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup and the victory will give tremendous confidence to the squad heading into the tournament.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been impressive under Antonio Conte and is the perfect embodiment of a player suited to the Italian’s requirements.
Both the manager and the player have been rewarded for their performance by the Premier League and have been nominated for Premier League Manager of the Month and Premier League Player of the Month respectively.
