Jamie O’Hara believes Jack Grealish is not good enough to start for Tottenham Hotspur
Jamie O’Hara believes Manchester City star Jack Grealish is not good enough to start for this Tottenham Hotspur team.
Grealish has been regularly criticised since his £100 million to the Etihad in the summer of 2021. He has failed to replicate his Aston Villa form that earned him a move to the Manchester club.
And now the former Spurs midfielder believes that the 27-year-old would not be able to start for Tottenham. Speaking to Grosvenor Sport (h/t Daily Star), the former midfielder gave his opinion.
“Jack Grealish has looked miles off it. He’s not good enough for Manchester City on this form. I don’t think he’d currently get in the team for Tottenham either. Not ahead of Son Heung-min or Dejan Kulusevski. I don’t think so.”
There could hardly be any argument against O’Hara in his assessment. No Spurs fans would want to see the England international start ahead of their wingers.
Despite City getting off to a good start, Grealish has again struggled for game time. The winger has only played in three league games so far, scoring one goa. In fact, since moving to City the 27-year-old has only managed to play 45 times in all competitions, scoring seven in the process.
On the contrary, Heung-min Son and Dejan Kulusevski have been in form this season. While Son has scored three goals in seven league games, Kulusevski has managed to score only one in the same league appearances.
Both the wingers are regular under Antonio Conte, something that cannot be said the same for Grealish. Spurs and City were supposed to meet in the Premier League earlier this month, but that game was postponed.

Conte will be preparing his team now for the next big challenge. Spurs will make a short journey across town to face arch-rivals Arsenal for a north London derby this Saturday. Fans will hope a victory and three points would allow Spurs to leapfrog their rivals in the table.
