Tottenham Hotspur winger Dejan Kulusevski could miss Arsenal clash due to muscle injury
According to the Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur star Dejan Kulusevski could miss the north London derby against Arsenal on October 1 at the Emirates due to a suspected injury.
The Sweden international started in his team’s 6-2 rout of Leicester City just before the international break and made manager Janne Andersson’s squad for their two UEFA Nations League games this month.
He started and played the full 90 minutes in their 1-1 win against Slovenia but underwent scans at Tottenham on Wednesday (September 28) after complaining of a hamstring issue.
This could mean that he doesn’t play against the Gunners come the weekend. The 22-year-old has been an invaluable part of manager Antonio Conte’s side ever since he left Juventus for Spurs in January this year.
Kulusevski could miss Arsenal outing
Kulusevski’s absence, however, may not be a massive problem in the short term as Conte has three of the most in-form attackers to choose from. Son Heung-min, Harry Kane, and Richarlison could, as a result of Deki’s potential absence, take the pitch against Arsenal.
The Brazil international has been in red-hot form for club and country and scored for Brazil in both their games in the international break. Kane smashed in a penalty against Germany in a 3-3 draw while Son scored for South Korea against Costa Rica and Cameroon.
It remains to be seen where Lucas Moura is on his road to recovery from injury. Hopefully, there is positive news coming out of the club regarding Kulusevski’s potential injury in the following days.

Kulusevski has only played once against Arsenal in his career, when he featured against them in a very important 3-1 north London derby win in May earlier this year. Spurs, as a result, finished fourth at the end of the season and secured UEFA Champions League.
