Antonio Conte gives a promising update on Tottenham attacker Bryan Gil

Antonio Conte has given a promising update on Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil. The Italian said that the winger was becoming stronger and called him a good prospect.

Speaking to the press ahead of his side’s game against Everton this Saturday, as quoted in Football. London, the Italian coach had promising words for Gil.

“Gil is a really good prospect. He is becoming stronger, physically, because he has in this moment only this gap for Premier League, it’s physical, you know? Otherwise technically he understands football in an important way. I’m sure that we’re talking about a player that will be an important prospect for the future. Now he’s building also, he’s improving on the physical aspect and for us that’s important.”

Gil came off the bench against Eintracht Frankfurt last Wednesday. The 21-year-old was impressive for his side and even won the second penalty for his team. Although Harry Kane missed from the spot, Spurs won the game 3-2.

It is good to see the Spaniard gaining the trust of the coach after the saga about his transfer move in the summer. The 21-year-old was to leave on a season-long loan to Spanish side Valencia, but that move fell through in the end.

The winger looked surplus to requirements for Conte, with the Spanish Under-21 star not playing a single minute of Premier League football this season. However, all hope might not be lost.

However, the former Sevilla winger has played in both Champions League games against Frankfurt. His impressive short cameo in the last game could mean he is likely to get minutes against Everton this Saturday.
