Tottenham Hotspur could ship out Djed Spence on loan
Tottenham Hotspur could ship out new summer signing Djed Spence on loan with Antonio Conte yet to be impressed by the player, according to The Times (subscription required) [h/t Express].
Spence moved to the north London club for £13 million this summer from Championship side Middlesbrough after the 22-year-old impressed on loan at Nottingham Forest last season.
However, things have not gone according to plan for the England Under-21 star. He has found game-time to come by very difficult, despite calls from supporters to give him an opportunity.
it’s official ✅! very happy to finally sign for such a great club, it’s a blessing to be here and I can’t wait to get started !@SpursOfficial 🤍💙 #COYS pic.twitter.com/zFw1Bc6enp

It was expected that the 22-year-old would come straight into the starting line-up. But that has not happened and the Englishman is way down the pecking order behind Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty.
The right-back has played in just three Premier League games this season, all coming on as a substitution. In total, the 22-year-old has seen just four minutes of competitive match action.
Now, his current employers are likely to ship him out on loan so that he can gain more first-team football. It is unclear if the move would be to another Premier League club or back to the Championship.

It is clear that Conte does not rate the player very highly. It will be wise for the right-back too to go out and get some action. Just 22, the player has a huge career ahead of him and it would be unwise for him to spend his playing time sitting on the bench.
