Spurs Injury News: Tottenham Hotspur lose Cristian Romero for next three matches
Tottenham Hotspur are expected to be without Cristian Romero for their games against Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, and Newcastle United, as per Evening Standard.
Spurs take on the Reds this Sunday (6 November) and are already set to be without Son Heung-min while Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison remain doubts for the clash against the Merseysiders.
However, Romero and Son could be out for the next three matches – which is a big blow for us considering their importance to our starting XI. They are perhaps one of the first names on manager Antonio Conte’s team sheet.
The duo could have been rested against the Tricky Trees on Wednesday (9 November) but would have definitely been a shoo-in to start against the Magpies three days later. It remains to be seen what Conte does in their absence.
Big injury blow for Spurs
The biggest question will be what the Italian manager would do if Son, Deki, and Richy are all out vs Liverpool. Lucas Moura and Bryan Gil have been handed playing time recently, but only from the bench.
In defence, Clement Lenglet and Davinson Sanchez haven’t been the most impressive but we can’t really do better than them if any one of our first-team defenders are out.
Son is expected to travel with South Korea for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar if he recovers from his injury in time. Romero’s Argentina and Richarlison’s Brazil are also taking part in the tournament and they are both important parts of their respective teams.

This could be a chance for either Gil or Moura, or both, to make their mark on the team and make it hard for Conte to drop them to the bench in the future. Spurs are currently third in the table with 26 points – having played one more game than second-place Manchester City, who have
