Spurs Transfer News: Bayern Munich insiders at loggerheads over signing Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane
Some Bayern Munich insiders don’t believe that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane suits the Bundesliga giants’ style of play, as per German outlet Sport Bild (h/t the Sun).
Bayern have been linked with a move to sign the England international in the past few months, especially after Robert Lewandowski’s summer exit to Barcelona. The 29-year-old is on a contract that expires in the summer of 2024.
And naturally, Kane has been touted as a potential candidate to join the Bavarian giants. But with the update that some at Bayern don’t agree that Kane suits their club, Spurs could be handed a boost in their pursuit to keep the Englishman here for longer.
The top brass at Bayern seem to admire Kane – to no one’s surprise. Manager Julian Nagelsmann has himself made several comments about our No. 10 and stated earlier this year:
“He’s very strong, brilliant with head and both feet. He could score a lot in the Bundesliga. I don’t know the price, but it’s really tough for Bayern Munich to reach it. We’ll see what happens in the future.”
Kane doesn’t have anything to prove to anyone. His record at the club and for England speaks for itself and for all we care, Bayern can think he is the worst possible signing they can make – given this will keep them from putting their hands on our prized asset.
