Chelsea have Tottenham Hotspur target Pau Torres on their radar
Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt a major transfer blow, with rivals Chelsea putting Villareal centre-back Pau Torres on their radar, according to 90min (h/t Football. London).
Graham Potter is looking to bolster his defence further for the second half of the season and his search for a defender has gotten the attention of a Spurs target.
Spurs are believed to have the Spaniard high on their wish list, with the 25-year-old currently in Qatar for the World Cup. The defender sees his current contract expire in 2024.

Antonio Conte could do with a centre-back like the Spaniard in his team. While he has some good options to choose from, recent injuries to Cristian Romero and Eric Dier have shown the lack of depth in the squad.
Davinson Sanchez and Japhet Tanganga have not lived up to the expectations and it has begged the question of adding another top-class defender to the squad.
Torres has been a regular for the Yellow Submarines this season, with the 25-year-old starting in all but one La Liga game so far. It is believed that a fee of around £40 million could be enough to prise the defender away from Spain.
