Transfer News: Bayern Munich working on a deal to land Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane
According to Sky Sports Germany (h/t Mirror), German giants Bayern Munich are working on a deal to land Tottenham Hotspur and England international Harry Kane.
The 29-year-old was linked with a move to the German side this summer, but nothing materialised of such speculations. It is understood that the striker could be available for a fee of around €80-100 million.
On the other hand, talks have been ongoing for a possible new contract for the England captain. The 29-year-old has just over 18 months left on his current deal.
Kane has been terrific for Antonio Conte’s side this season. The striker has scored 12 goals in 15 league games for the Lilywhites so far this season.
While he is yet to score in this World Cup, the 29-year-old has three assists in three games for the Three Lions and has helped them reach the Round of 16. It will really be surprising to see if the striker decides to leave next month.
Tottenham have been very good this season, sitting fourth on the table and have qualified for the next round in the Champions League. They look like a force to reckon with this season, and the 29-year-old has played a major role in this.
It will be wise for Conte and Spurs to offer a new deal for their talisman as soon as possible. Kane is one of the best strikers in the world and the north London side will have to spend time and money to find a suitable replacement for him.

And even then, it’s not guaranteed we can replicate his numbers via someone else here. The pull of Bayern is good, given their success in German football – but there is still a lot Kane can achieve in England. Hopefully, that’s motivation enough for him to stay.
