Squad News: Injury update on nine Tottenham Hotspur players

Tottenham Hotspur and Antonio Conte know that the second half of the season is fast approaching, but the manager has nine of his players on the sidelines or suffering through some problems.

We will take a look at the players and their possible return dates (Football. London). Richarlison picked up a hamstring issue during the game against Croatia in the quarter-finals of the World Cup.

Despite this he played for 84 minutes and has undergone a scan at the Hotspur Way. It remains to be seen for how long the forward will be sidelined with Conte hoping that it is not for too long.

Rodrigo Bentancur suffered a small tear in his adductor muscle in the game against Ghana in Qatar. The 25-year-old has been crucial for us this season and fans will hope he can recover quickly.

Ben Davies also picked up an injury in the World Cup to his oblique muscle and the recovery period is expected to be up to four weeks. This means that the defender is in doubt for the game against Brentford on December 26.

Son Heung-min continues to wear a protective mask to protect his left eye. The Korean had undergone surgery last month to stabilise the fracture which he picked up during the Champions League against Marseille.

The forward is likely to continue wearing the mask even when the Premier League resumes. Ryan Sessegnon also looked to have picked up a hamstring injury last month, although the wing-back is now back in outdoor training and should be fit enough for the Brentford clash.

Four players in Lucas Moura, Clement Lenglet, Fraser Forster and Emerson Royal make the list as they all missed the 4-0 friendly win over Motherwell last week. It is believed it was just a precautionary decision and Conte will hope they don’t develop any further issues.
