Transfer News: Tottenham Hotspur are keen on making a move for Alexis Mac Allister
According to The Sun (h/t Daily Mail), Tottenham Hotspur are keen on making a move for Brighton & Hove Albion and Argentina midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.
The 23-year-old has been enjoying a fabulous World Cup so far with his country helping them reach the final for the first time since 2014. The Brighton midfielder has played in five games scoring one goal in the process.
Spurs director of football Fabio Paratici has given the green light after manager Antonio Conte registered an interest in the 23-year-old. However, the north London side are not alone in the pursuit of the midfielder.

Inter Milan, Juventus and Atletico Madrid are also interested in the former Argentinos Juniors midfielder, with the Milan based club believed to be leading the race for his signature. The midfielder sees his current contract expire in 2025.
Conte is in need of reinforcements to his midfield. The Italian has found a formidable partnership between Rodrigo Bentancur and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to be his go-to midfield, but there is no such competition from the bench to break the partnership.
Yves Bissouma and Oliver Skipp have struggled to provide the necessary competition and have also failed to impress whenever given the opportunity. Mac Allister has been phenomenal for the Seagulls too, scoring five goals in 14 league appearances so far.
Should he sign, he will add to the attacking impetus from the midfield- something that only Rodrigo Bentancur has been able to offer so far. But given his performance in Qatar, Brighton are not likely to let him leave for anything less than a premium fee.

Mac Allister is just 23 and has a bright future ahead of him. With the competition for his signature heating up it will be wise for Spurs to be prepared to go all in for the midfield who has huge potential in him to make our midfield better.
