Transfer News: Tottenham Hotspur to sell Bryan Gil and Pepe Matar-Sarr to Sevilla next month
According to Spanish outlet Mucho Deporte (h/t Express), Tottenham Hotspur are willing to sell both Bryan Gil and Pepe Matar-Sarr to Spanish club Sevilla during the January transfer window.
Both the players have struggled for playing time this season under Antonio Conte and it is hardly surprising to see the north London club reach such a decision. Also, their sale would help in adding to the transfer kitty made available to the manager.
Sarr has not played a single minute for Spurs this season in any competition so far. He was selected by Senegal for the World Cup where he featured in two games for them as they crashed out in the Round of 16, losing to England 3-0.

Tottenham value the 20-year-old midfielder at around £13 million and he is a top target for the La Liga club which is looking to bring in a defensive midfielder when the window opens.
Gil, on the other hand, has also struggled for game time. The 21-year-old has played in six games for the club in all competitions so far this season, having failed to register either a goal or assist in the process.
Gil has also not started in any of them and it is not yet known how much the north London club will demand for his services. It will be a wise decision to allow both players to leave.
Spurs will be able to earn some money, while also simultaneously chalk-off two players from their wage book. It is clear that they were not part of Conte’s squad and it would not have changed going forward.

It remains to be seen which players the club will bring in with the money earned from their sale. Both the players did not have much to offer and are not likely to be missed by the fans.
