Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato (h/t Football London), Tottenham Hotspur sporting director Fabio Paratici is pushing for a move to sign Napoli sensation Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the upcoming January transfer window.
Napoli under Luciano Spalleti have been nothing short of delight with the club top of Serie A whilst playing some truly mesmerising football.
Khvicha is one of the integral parts of the team and has been one of the biggest revelations of the season so far. Just ask Liverpool fans what he did to their defence in the UEFA Champions League group stages earlier this season…
Tasked with the tough job to replace the outgoing Dries Mertens and Lorenzo Insigne, two players who were the spine of the Napoli attack, and truly solidifying his stance as a key player for Spalleti heading into the second half of the campaign.
In 17 appearances that he has made so far, he has contributed to 8 goals and 10 assists in what is his first season in a European league. The manner in which he has adapted to the intensity of a top European league speaks about the skills and mindset of the 21-year-old.
Alongside Tottenham, Liverpool have also shown interest in the player and we would have to be on our toes to prevent our rivals from taking a step up for the player’s signature. However, in all seriousness, prising him away from Napoli would be a very tough task in itself, especially in the January transfer window.
Firstly, his current contract with the side runs till the summer of 2027 (Transfermarkt) and secondly, Napoli are well on course to win the league title after a gap of many years and have a chance to do very well in Europe as well.

As such, neither the player nor the club would want to part ways at such an exciting time for the team and ideally, any transfer deal that could happen for the player would potentially happen in the summer transfer window.
