Transfer News: Ismaila Sarr among options that Tottenham Hotspur could look at in January
According to Football. London, Tottenham Hotspur have been keeping tabs on Watford and Senegal international Ismaila Sarr and could make a move for him next month in January.
It is understood that Antonio Conte is keen to add another forward within his ranks, despite having some of the best options to choose from. However, recent injuries to Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski have highlighted the lack of depth in the department.
Lucas Moura and Bryan Gil have failed to impress the boss so far and it will not be surprising to see either of them seeking to ply their trade elsewhere. This has left the north London side scouting the market for a new forward.
Richarlison is also currently injured and is expected to be out till next month due to his hamstring injury. This has left Conte with limited options to choose from and reinforcements are needed.
Sarr has been enjoying a decent season with the Hornets so far in the Championship, having scored six goals in 19 league appearances for them. He also played in all four games for his country at the World Cup and managed to score one goal in the process.
The 24-year-old also has some Premier League experience and could make a fine addition to have on the bench. He is highly unlikely to go straight into the starting XI and will have to fight off some tough competition for a regular place there.
With the forward having 18 months left on his current deal, the Hornets will know that January would be the best time to cash in on him. It remains to be seen if the north London side does make an approach for the forward next month.
