Tottenham Hotspur could beat Juventus and Napoli in race for Nicolo Zaniolo
Tottenham Hotspur are in the race to sign AS Roma playmaker Nicolo Zaniolo, who is also on the radars of Juventus and Napoli, as per Football-Italia (h/t Evening Standard).
The 23-year-old playmaker has been a regular in manager Jose Mourinho’s team this season despite Paulo Dybala’s arrival on a free transfer last summer. He is, however, in the last 18 months of his deal with I Giallorossi (Transfermarkt).
Despite a paltry return of two goals and three assists in 17 games across competitions this season, Zaniolo’s talents remain out there for all to see. He is a smart creator in the final third and is very versatile.
Manager Antonio Conte can deploy him anywhere in the frontline if he wants to and perhaps even try him out as a right-wing-back instead of Emerson Royal – as an attacking option in the same way as Ivan Perisic on the left flank.
A vital addition?
Spurs could supposedly sign him in January for a fee of 30million Euros and beat Juventus and Napoli to the punch. If this is the case, then this should be a no-brainer for the board.
We should at least be at the negotiation table for the Italy international. The most important point about his potential arrival would be the addition of a No. 10 in our team.
He can play as an attacking midfielder and add a lot of creativity to our midfield. Right now, the wing-backs have a lot of responsibility to make things happen for our attack.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur are central players who are more focused on the defensive side of things. Let’s just hope that our board is ready with an offer and try to seal this deal soon because let’s not forget that Napoli and Juventus can offer him something we cannot – the chance to stay in Serie A.
