Tottenham Hotspur plot Japhet Tanganga plus cash deal for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic
Tottenham Hotspur are open to letting Japhet Tanganga leave for Juventus in a bid to sign striker Dusan Vlahovic.
According to Italian outlet CalcioMercatoWeb (h/t Evening Standard), the Lilywhites are plotting a bid that includes the English defender and 44million Pounds in cash for the Serbian centre-forward.
Vlahovic joined Juventus from Fiorentina in the closing stages of the 2022 winter transfer window amidst interest from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. It seems that the Lilywhites are keen to try their hand at signing him yet again.
It’s wise to remember that Juventus paid 62.8million Pounds in transfer fees to sign him from La Viola. In the past 12 months, he has 16 goals and provided four assists in 36 games across competitions.
A great move for Spurs
Not the best numbers, but not the worst in the world as well. Vlahovic is also just 22 years old and has his best years ahead of him.
Signing him would make sure that we have a readymade replacement for Harry Kane, who is 29 years old and in the final 18 months of his contract at N17. He is yet to put pen to paper on a deal, and keeping Vlahovic in our crosshairs could be a smart move.
Moreover, even if Kane stays, having the Serbia international in our team will make our attack one of the best on paper in England and perhaps even Europe. It’s also wise to remember that Lucas Moura could leave as a free agent in the summer or in January itself.
Letting Tanganga go in an exchange deal is a proposition that not many Spurs fans will oppose. He might be a graduate of our local academy but it seems that the versatile defender’s career at Spurs isn’t going anywhere.
