Tim Sherwood reveals what Harry Kane told him about Tottenham Hotspur future after win vs Fulham
Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood has revealed that Harry Kane refused to give him a clear answer about his future at the club after the win against Fulham.
The English tactician, who managed Kane during his time in the youth and senior team from the 2012-13 to the 2013-14 campaign, told Daily Mail (h/t the Express):
“I spoke to Harry on Monday night after his winner at Fulham. I asked him if he’s going to be sticking around in the Premier League to target Alan Shearer’s record next.
“He told me it was a ‘loaded question’ but did add he’s enjoying himself. We want to see the best of the best in the Premier League so I hope Harry stays put to take over Alan’s record.”
He has been linked with a move to Manchester United and Bayern Munich as he has entered the final year-and-a-half of his contract at N17. Kane scored once again as we won against Fulham.
It seems that he is playing his cards close to his chest. Calling it ‘a loaded question’ indicates that he is still undecided over what he has to do. Hopefully, he chooses to stay here.
Richarlison can fill in for him if and when he is gone but that won’t be enough. We’ll have to enter the market for a new striker and there won’t be any guarantee that they will be a hit as much as Kane is.

From the 29-year-old’s point of view, one can understand his dilemma. He is yet to win silverware here and there isn’t much time left in his playing career. But that is why we have people like Danie Levy and Fabio Paratici – tough negotiators who look after the club’s best interest.
