Newcastle United tipped to sign Tottenham Hotspur duo Harry Kane and Son Heung-min
Speaking on No Tippy Tappy Football, from William Hill and Footy Accumulators (h/t The Sun), Nolberto Solano believes Newcastle United may make use of their newfound status to raid Tottenham Hotspur for superstar duo Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.
Both players are key cogs in the Spurs roster and are nearly undroppable when fit. In fact, they have accounted for a combined 24 goals this season, more than the rest of the Spurs team put together all campaign.
The duo have been the go-to men for several Spurs managers in crescent years and Antonio Conte isn’t any different. Losing them will largely kill our bite upfront and leave Daniel Levy with much to do in the transfer market.
Signing both players will not be easy either given that they will demand a king’s ransom. Money is not a problem for Newcastle and former Magpies star Solana believes a push can be made.
He has a high opinion of Tottenham’s dynamic duo and believes signing them will take Newcastle to the next level. Surely, Tottenham will not cave in even if a mammoth deal arrives anytime soon.
Solano said:
“I’ve been watching a little bit and would love to see Harry Kane and Son Heung-min in black and white.”
Son recently signed a new deal that will keep him in north London until 2025. Despite his form falling off a cliff this season, the South Korean is a proven match-winner who can make a telling difference for several top sides.
Kane’s deal at Tottenham expires in 2024 and he is being actively scouted by Manchester United and Bayern Munich. Despite much interest, there is hope that the 29-year-old will continue his love affair with the Lilywhites.

Losing key players is not the hallmark of a top club and is miles away from where Tottenham aspire to be. One can be certain that should such a deal come where we are forced to sell Kane and Son, Conte will pack his bags and leave for greener pastures.
