Tottenham loanee Destiny Udogie branded ‘too soft in tackles’

According to TMW, Destiny Udogie, who is currently playing for Udinese in the Italian league on loan from Tottenham Hotspur was rated 5.5 out of 10 in his recent game against Verona.

The report by TMW criticized Udogie for his lack of physicality and difficulty in duels. The young defender was seen as too soft in tackles and not aggressive enough in aerial duels, which resulted in him struggling to keep Verona’s attackers at bay.

Udogie has been a regular player for Udinese this season. Despite the poor performance against his former club, the on-loan left-back did show flashes of his technical ability and his comfort on the ball.

The loan move from Tottenham has given the young defender an opportunity to gain valuable experience and showcase his talent in one of Europe’s top leagues. The North London club signed the player in the summer and immediately loaned him back.

The 20-year-old has shown that he has the potential to be a key player for both Udinese and Tottenham in the future, but he still has much to improve in his game. It is understandable considering his age.

The lack of physicality in his game is something that Udogie will need to work on if he wants to become a dominant defender. He has the technical ability to play at the highest level, but he needs to add more power and aggression to his game.

To play in an Antonio Conte team, one needs to have a certain physical level. The Italian manager is very insistent on that and hence it is something that the talented left-back needs to work on.

Udinese will be hoping that Udogie can quickly learn from his mistakes and improve his performance in future games. Tottenham will also want their player to learn from this and emerge a better player.
