Tottenham Hotspur warned PSG and Bayern Munich are ‘perfect’ for Harry Kane
Arsenal legend Emmanuel Petit has suggested Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) as the two ‘perfect’ clubs for Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane.
The England international has less than 18 months left on his contract at N17. He is yet to put pen to paper on a new contract and Spurs were believed to be open to offers of around 70million Pounds for him in January.
However, he has stayed here for the time being. Nevertheless, if he does decide to leave, then Petit believes Manchester United could be the only sensible option for him in England given Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit in November and Wout Weghorst’s temporary loan deal.
He told Betway (h/t Express):
“So maybe Manchester United, for me this is the only option [in England]. But if he wants to go abroad, there are two perfect clubs for him. PSG and the other one is Bayern Munich.”
“When I look at Bayern Munich, I have a lot of respect for [Eric Maxim] Choupo-Moting but he’s the only striker. There are only two clubs abroad who can afford and can buy Harry Kane. It’s PSG and Bayern Munich and in the Premier League, there’s only one club for me and it’s Manchester United.”
PSG thankfully have Kylian Mbappe for now. The 24-year-old simply cannot be replaced up front and hopefully, Les Parisiens don’t have to consider signing Kane.
They could look to pair them together but then again, they have invested in young striker Hugo Ekitike. Bayern Munich can be a real threat considering they haven’t yet signed a like-for-like replacement for Robert Lewandowski.
The Poland international joined Barcelona last summer and while Bayern signed Sadio Mane, the Senegal international isn’t really a true no. 9. Hopefully, Spurs manage to keep Kane beyond 2024.

If it becomes clear that we can’t keep him beyond his current contract, then it would be best to cash in on him this summer and use that money to find a world-class replacement. In this scenario, there would hardly be a better suitor for us than PSG, who are financially quite powerful.
