Tottenham interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Ivory Coast midfielder Franck Kessie from Barcelona in the summer.
Kessie made the move to Barcelona for AC Milan in the summer on a free transfer and it has not really worked out for the talented player at the Nou Camp. Kessie has stylistically struggled to fit into Xavi Hernandez’s team.
The 26-year-old made a name for himself during his time at San Siro. The talented midfielder was one of the most influential players under Stefano Pioli and has the traits of a perfect box-to-box midfielder.
In a Barcelona system, the midfield is a very tricky position that generally encompasses players who play a certain way and Kessie is not that player. Although he does have some flair to his game, the Ivory Coast midfielder is much more than just that.
A club that would perfectly suit Kessie though is Tottenham. The 26-year-old midfielder would be the perfect Antonio Conte midfielder and could be a complete package to the club should he come here.
In Kessie, what Tottenham would get is a player born to play in the Premier League. The Barcelona man’s physicality and strength alongside someone like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg would be a dream.
This is not to say that Kessie does not possess the creative ability on the ball. The former AC Milan man shows immense quality in this regard as well and could solve a multitude of problems for Spurs.
One thing that Barcelona will ensure is that they make a significant profit from the sale of Kessie should they sell him in the summer. However, Tottenham would be making a great decision if they decide to buy him.

Kessie is everything that the Tottenham midfield lacks and is craving. This should be a no-brainer for the club as they look to reinforce the squad ahead of next season. We are said to be open to offering 30million Euros for the player, which would be a sound investment for a player in the prime years of his career.
