Tottenham name asking price for superstar striker Harry Kane

According to Football Insider (h/t Manchester Evening News), Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly set a minimum asking price of £100m for their all-time leading scorer Harry Kane if he is to leave the club this summer.

This comes as no surprise, given the level of talent and importance Kane brings to the team. However, Kane’s future at the club is far from certain and we still don’t know if he will sign a contract extension with us.

Kane has been an integral part of Tottenham’s success over the years, and his goals have helped the team reach new heights. However, with less than 18 months left on his current deal, there have been rumours about his future at the club.

While Spurs boss Antonio Conte is confident that Kane will stay at the club, the possibility of his departure cannot be completely ruled out. Reports suggest that Erik ten Hag, the Manchester United boss, is interested in signing the England captain.

If Kane does indeed decide to leave, Tottenham will only accept a fee no lower than £100m. While this may seem like a steep asking price, it is reflective of Kane’s value and the importance he brings to the team.

The 29-year-old has scored 20 goals this season, and he is one goal away from becoming England’s all-time top scorer, currently tied with Wayne Rooney on 53 senior international goals.

However, Kane has yet to win a club trophy in his career, and this may be a factor in his decision to stay or leave the club. Tottenham have struggled in recent years to win silverware, despite being consistently in the mix in the Premier League.

For Tottenham, keeping Kane at the club would be a massive boost to their aspirations of winning a trophy. He is a proven goalscorer and leader on the pitch, and his experience and presence in the dressing room would be invaluable.

On the other hand, if Kane decides to leave, Tottenham will need to reinvest the money wisely to ensure that they can continue to compete at the highest level. While losing a player of Kane’s calibre would be difficult, signing the right player might soften the blow considerably. Let’s see.
