Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Gambian starlet Adama Bojang

According to Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest are interested in acquiring the services of Gambian striker starlet Adama Bojang.

The 18-year-old has been turning heads with his impressive performances in the AFCON U20 Championship in Egypt, where he has been tipped to be named player of the tournament after its conclusion.

Bojang has been in sensational form for his country, scoring a hat-trick in an emphatic 5-0 win against South Sudan in the quarter-finals. The Gambian centre-forward has earned himself the nickname ‘the Gambian Hurricane’ for his explosive performances on the pitch.

At 6ft 3ins, Bojang is a towering presence in the opposition box and has shown that he is quick, brave and direct with the ball at his feet. It comes as no surprise that he has already caught the eye of a couple of Premier League clubs.

Tottenham Hotspur, along with Nottingham Forest, are reportedly interested in signing the talented teenager. Ajax and French side Marseille are also said to have expressed their interest in the teenager.

Bojang’s ambition to win the Golden Boot for his club is admirable, but it’s clear that his goals at the AFCON U20 have put him on the lips of top clubs in Europe. A move to one of Europe’s top leagues this summer could be on the cards for the young Gambian striker.

Tottenham Hotspur has a history of nurturing young talent, and Bojang could be the latest addition to their impressive youth setup. The London club has a reputation for giving young players the opportunity to showcase their skills on the big stage, and Bojang could benefit from the guidance of experienced players and coaches at Tottenham.

Tottenham’s current backup striker Richarlison has hardly convinced this season, with Harry Kane bearing the brunt of the team’s goalscoring responsibilities. Bojang could add some much-needed firepower to Tottenham’s attack, and his physical presence could provide a different dimension to the team’s attacking play.

It’s still early days for Bojang, and there’s no doubt that he still has a lot to learn. However, his performances in the AFCON U20 have shown that he has the potential to be a star of the future.
