Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag ‘intent’ on signing Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane
Erik ten Hag, the manager of Premier League rivals Manchester United, is ‘intent’ on signing Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane, according to Manchester Evening News.
The Spurs striker is the Dutch manager’s ‘prime striker target’ to bolster the Red Devils’ attack in the upcoming transfer window. It remains to be seen whether the Old Trafford side will succeed in their pursuit.
At the moment, the England international’s current contract with the North London side expires at the end of next season. The 29-year-old’s future with the Lilywhites is uncertain.
Ten Hag currently has Antony Martial and Wout Weghorst at his disposal in the number nine position. The Dutch manager has managed to lift the Carabao Cup during his short time in Manchester.
In 2021, Kane was keen on leaving us for Manchester City. However, we blocked a move for the forward and ended up keeping him at the club. However, will Spurs be able to keep hold of him once again, with Bayern Munich also an option? Only time will tell.
The England international broke onto the scene in the 2014/15 campaign for the North London side after making his way through the youth ranks. Since then, the 29-year-old has been our talisman.
In the previous campaign, Kane dropped off a bit. However, he has been Tottenham’s only reliable outlet in the attacking third this season, scoring 20 goals in 37 appearances in all competitions.
The 29-year-old has also led England as skipper in various major competitions over the years. Unfortunately, trophies have eluded the prolific goalscorer at Spurs as well as with the Three Lions.

Kane has been a pivotal player for us. Seeing him leave would evidently be a big blow for the North London side. Hopefully, we will be able to keep a hold of the 29-year-old next summer.
