Tottenham could offer Tanguy Ndombele in exchange for Marcelo Brozovic
According to Inter Live, Tottenham Hotspur could offer out-of-favour midfielder Tanguy Ndombele in exchange for Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan in the summer.
One of the players Paratici will be looking to move on is Tanguy Ndombele. The French midfielder arrived at Tottenham for a club-record fee of £55 million in 2019 but has been unable to establish himself in the team. He was even sent on loan to Napoli this season, where he has struggled to make an impact.
Ndombele has started just nine games in all competitions under Luciano Spalletti, and Napoli appears unlikely to trigger the £25 million option-to-buy clause in his contract. So, with his future at Tottenham uncertain, the club could look to use him as part of a deal to bring in Inter Milan’s Marcelo Brozovic.
Brozovic is a key part of the Croatia squad and is widely regarded as one of Europe’s finest deep-lying playmakers. However, the midfielder has suffered from calf and hamstring injuries in recent months.
The talented midfielder is no longer a guaranteed member of Simone Inzaghi’s starting XI. Hakan Calhanoglu has thrived in the deep-lying role Brozovic had previously made his own at the San Siro.
Tottenham would be getting a proven top-quality midfielder who could help solve their long-standing issues in the middle of the park. Meanwhile, Inter Milan would be getting a player with immense potential who could thrive under a new coach and in a new environment.
Of course, there are risks involved. Ndombele has struggled to adapt to English football since his arrival at Tottenham, and there are questions over whether he has the right mentality to succeed at the highest level. On the other hand, Brozovic’s recent injury problems may have raised some concerns over his fitness and longevity.
The question now is whether Inter Milan would be willing to part with Brozovic. The Croatian is under contract until 2026, and he remains a key part of their squad. However, with Paratici’s contacts in Italian football, anything is possible.

Brozovic is an interesting option for Tottenham. However, there are much better players out there. This will not be a bad signing though and selling Ndombele will be an added advantage.
