Ben Jacobs says Man United are more likely to land Victor Osimhen over Harry Kane

According to popular journalist Ben Jacobs writing in his CaughtOffside column, Manchester United might prioritize signing Victor Osimhen over Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane in the upcoming summer transfer window.

With the Red Devils seeking a prolific striker to strengthen their attacking department, both Osimhen and Kane have been shortlisted as potential targets. However, it looks like the Napoli man is the likelier option.

Kane, a Tottenham Hotspur icon, has been a top performer in the Premier League for years. His goal-scoring ability and leadership skills have attracted the attention of several top clubs, including Manchester United.

However, Jacobs believes that United might be more likely to focus on Napoli’s Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian forward has been in sensational form this season, scoring 19 goals in 21 league appearances for Napoli. At the age of 24, he could be a valuable long-term investment for United.

Jacobs also suggests that United face competition from several other top clubs, including Chelsea, PSG, and Manchester City, for Osimhen’s signature. This competition could make it difficult for United to secure his services, but it also indicates the quality of the player.

If United were to sign Osimhen, they would acquire a powerful striker with excellent dribbling skills, a strong physical presence, and an eye for goal. His versatility and pace make him a dangerous attacking threat, and he could be a valuable addition to the United team.

On the other hand, Kane is a proven goal-scorer in the Premier League, and his experience and leadership qualities would undoubtedly benefit United. However, he would come at a significant cost, with Tottenham likely to demand a high transfer fee.

United’s decision to prioritize Osimhen over Kane could be based on several factors, including age, potential resale value and much more. Regardless of whether United ultimately sign Osimhen or Kane, the fact that they are in the market for a top striker indicates their determination to compete at the highest level.
