Real Madrid join Bayern Munich and Manchester United in pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane
Real Madrid have been linked with a move for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, alongside Bayern Munich and Manchester United.
This is according to the Daily Mail, who claim that the England international is one of the options Real Madrid are considering up front this summer. 35-year-old Karim Benzema is set to leave as a free agent this season.
But Los Blancos could offer him a one-year renewal, especially given his form this season. Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is another high-profile option for them.
Kane has been linked to Manchester United recently and him being linked to the three aforementioned comes as no surprise at all. The Bavarian giants are yet to replace Robert Lewandowski up front after losing him to Barcelona last summer.
Kane to Real Madrid?
Manchester United need someone at centre-forward, with Anthony Martial’s injury and inconsistent form not enough to fill the void left by Edinson Cavani and Cristiano Ronaldo last year.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, have no one to succeed Benzema. Marco Asensio is a makeshift solution at centre-forward while substitute striker Mariano Diaz is seeing absolutely no meaningful playing time under manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Spurs naturally want to extend Kane’s contract, which expires in the summer of 2024. However, Real Madrid’s interest in him could be enough to turn the 29-year-old’s head. We have to do everything possible to prevent that from happening.
Hopefully, Madrid opt to stick with Benzema or sign Mbappe instead. Kane has what it takes to succeed at Real Madrid and become one of their best players.

There is hardly any flaw in his game. It won’t be a surprise if Los Merengues pop up with a serious offer this summer. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen.
