Tottenham stars want Antonio Conte sacked following explosive rant
According to The Guardian, Tottenham stars want manager Antonio Conte gone as soon as possible following his explosive rant on the players to the media.
Spurs drew 3-3 against Southampton last weekend despite having a 3-1 lead in the game and the coach was not one bit happy. He absolutely tore into the players for lack of team spirit and this has not gone down well with the team.
It came as a shock to everyone when Antonio Conte came out to the media in such a mood and it looks like the players who have stuck by the Italian manager for so long feel like they have had enough.
It is now being claimed that Tottenham players now feel that it is a matter of time before Antonio Conte is sacked. Although he has a contract until the end of the season, some players would rather have him gone right now.
Going down swinging!
It looks like a foregone conclusion that Antonio Conte is in his last few days or weeks or months as a Tottenham manager. The thing about this is the fact that it is not even surprising considering his history.
Every club that Conte joins initially starts off very well. However, the Italian manager always finds a way to sour his relationship with the fans and the players and eventually leaves or is told to leave.
Irrespective of how badly the players performed, it is not acceptable for a coach to come in front of the media and sell his players down the river like Conte just did. This kind of behaviour should not be entertained.
It looks like Conte desperately wants to be sacked. Ideally, he must have been sacked immediately after his comments in the media where he not only seemed to take a swipe at the players but also the leadership at the club.

Conte must have realised that he does not have much time left at this job and it looks like he has decided to go down swinging. He had a field day talking to the media the other day and let’s hope he is gone before he does any more damage.
