Juventus exploring swap deal for Tottenham Hotspur target and Barcelona star Franck Kessie
According to a report by Calciomercatoweb, Juventus are reportedly exploring a swap deal offer Denis Zakaria to Barcelona in exchange for Tottenham Hotspur target Franck Kessie.
Kessie has been on Tottenham’s radar for quite some time now. The North London club are said to be a huge fan of the former AC Milan midfielder and want to bring him to Hotspur Way in the summer.
However, things will not be as straightforward as they wish with Juventus also keen on signing the Barcelona midfielder. The Old Lady could sweeten the deal by adding Denis Zakaria in it which the Spanish club might appreciate.
Kessie after a rough start to life in Catalonia seems to be slowly settling into the team. He scored an all-important goal in El Clasico last night in the dying minutes to give Barcelona a 12-point lead in La Liga.
The Ivory Coast midfielder seems like a player born to play in the Premier League. Tottenham would be doing great if they manage to sign him but Barcelona might not be willing to sell a player they signed just now.
Keep persuading
Tottenham must keep trying as hard as they can to sign Kessie as a player of his quality does not come around often. Physical and technical on the ball, the midfielder represents a rare breed.
Kessie has a long-term deal at Barcelona and the club will demand a hefty sum to let him leave. However, Tottenham must be willing to pay the money and sign the player as he will be worth it.
In terms of the deal, Juventus offering Zakaria might tempt Barcelona but the fact that they might need the money more means that a swap deal is not something that they will entertain at least initially.
