Tottenham Hotspur star Pedro Porro hits out at Tim Sherwood for his comments
Speaking to @guardian_sport as quoted by popular Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur star Pedro Porro has hit back at Tim Sherwood for the criticism he received for his debut.
Porro did not have the best of debuts in a Tottenham shirt but he has bounced back rather brilliantly. The Spanish right-back signed for the club in the winter transfer window and has settled in rather well.
Yes, Porro did not have the best of debuts but he has quickly won over the N17 faithful with his brilliant performances. The former Sporting CP full-back has shown why the club spent all the bucks for him in January.
Since Porro’s arrival in January, Emerson Royal has really settled in well and started playing excellent football. The Brazilian is providing great competition for Porro and it bodes well for Tottenham.
Porro was definitely not happy with the comments he received after his debut. Understandably, it was his first game in England and he must be given time to establish himself as a good player at the club.
The Spaniard has vowed that he’d ‘shut up’ every single person who criticises him for his performances.
“Tim Sherwood won’t be the first to have had to shut his mouth. I really hope he keeps saying bad things about me, makes me stronger”. Let me loose in a prison and I’ll end up owning the place”
From having no good right-back for half a season, Tottenham now have two quality players competing for one position. It is a good headache to have and the club will be hoping it continues for a long time.
Porro is one of the most talented players going around in his position. He is bound to do great things in the game. Let’s hope that he remains at Tottenham for a long time and continues impressing.
