Real Madrid join Tottenham Hotspur in race for AS Roma forward Paulo Dybala
Spanish giants Real Madrid have joined Tottenham Hotspur in the race for the signature of AS Roma star Paulo Dybala, according to Forza Roma via Fichajes.
Los Blancos are ‘interested’ in acquiring the services of the Argentina international in the upcoming transfer window. Carlo Ancelotti’s team are looking for a centre-forward to bolster their attack.
The Santiago Bernabeu side likes the 29-year-old’s versatility and feel he fits their system. With a €12 million release clause, the World Cup winner is also an affordable option.
Jose Mourinho is a key factor in Dybala’s continuity with the Giallorossi. However, it remains to be seen whether the likes of Madrid and Premier League giants Manchester United and Spurs will turn the 29-year-old’s head.
The Argentine signed for the Serie A giants in the summer of 2022 as a free agent after several fruitful years at Juventus. At the Rome-based club, the forward has found his feet after struggling with injuries at the Bianconeri last season.
In the current campaign, Dybala has thrived playing as a second striker. The Argentine has made 29 appearances in all competitions for Roma, scoring 13 goals and providing eight assists.
At the moment, Tottenham’s front line is stacked with quality. Harry Kane has led our attack as usual. Unfortunately, the other options in the team have not performed up to the mark.
Son Heung-min and Richarlison have been underwhelming. Dejan Kulusevski has had fitness issues. Arnaut Danjuma was brought on loan in January, but the Dutch national has hardly seen any game time.

Dybala possesses the quality to freshen up Spurs’ attack. Considering his price tag and talent, the 29-year-old is a decent option to have our eyes on. But Madrid evidently pose a considerable threat in the North London side’s pursuit of the Argentine.
