Daniel Levy personally keen to land James Maddison at Tottenham Hotspur
According to Daily Mail, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has personally targetted signing Leicester City midfield maestro James Maddison and bringing him to N17.
Maddison has been a standout player for Leicester City since he arrived from Norwich City in 2018. He has been an integral part of their midfield, contributing with goals and assists while also providing a creative spark that has helped the team perform at a high level.
The 26-year-old Maddison has been linked with a move to Tottenham for some time now. The club’s former player and manager, Glenn Hoddle, has been a vocal advocate of signing the midfielder, citing his creativity and ability to unlock defences.
It is not just Tottenham who are interested in Maddison, as Newcastle United have also been linked with a move for the midfielder. However, Tottenham remains the front-runner for his signature, and Levy is said to be willing to pay the price to secure his services.
Maddison would undoubtedly be a valuable addition to Tottenham’s squad, and his partnership with Harry Kane for England has given fans a glimpse of what he could bring to the team.
Of course, signing Maddison alone will not be enough to satisfy Tottenham fans, who have been demanding more from their club. The team has been struggling for consistency in recent years, and there is still no guarantee that Kane will stay at the club.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding Tottenham’s future, the prospect of signing James Maddison is undoubtedly an exciting one for the club’s fans. Maddison’s creativity and attacking prowess would provide a much-needed boost to Tottenham’s midfield.
What happens to Maddison’s future at Leicester remains to be seen. Only time will tell where he ends up at. It is tough to envision a future for him with the Foxes though. Let’s hope he joins for Tottenham.
