Florian Plettenberg says Tottenham target Victor Osimhen wants Bayern Munich transfer
Tottenham Hotspur target Victor Osimhen could be on his way to Bayern Munich. This is according to German football expert and Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.
According to him, the Nigeria international wants a move to Bayern Munich. The Bavarian giants are laying the foundations to sign the Napoli hitman.
Apparently, the move will come down to what manager Thomas Tuchel wants and the price tag. Napoli could demand up to 150million Pounds for Osimhen, who still has over two years left on his contract at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Last month, Spurs were linked with a move for Osimhen alongside Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United, as per Football.London. No surprises there.
All depends on Harry Kane
Most top clubs in the world would want to have a forward like him, who can finish well with his feet and his head and is also a neat dribbler in the final third.
Moreover, he is just 24 years old and has a lot of time ahead of him to hone his skills and become one of the best strikers in the world – if he isn’t one already. Bayern need a replacement for Robert Lewandowski.
The Bavarian giants allowed the Poland international to join Barcelona last summer and did not sign a direct replacement for him. Sadio Mane, who joined from Liverpool, largely plays as a left-winger while Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting is 34 years old.
Hence, Spurs would have to do very well to beat the Bavarian giants. We don’t really need to pursue him if Harry Kane stays here beyond the summer.
The 29-year-old’s contract expires in the summer of 2024 (Transfermarkt) and if we can get him to extend his stay here, then our pursuit of a new world-class forward should come to a halt for a few years.

Osimhen, of course, won’t be comfortable playing second fiddle to anyone wherever he goes given his ability.
