Tottenham convinced of signing Dejan Kulusevski permanently despite Paratici’s absence
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Tottenham Hotspur are set to secure the permanent signing of winger Dejan Kulusevski, despite the absence of director of football Fabio Paratici.
It’s no secret that Spurs are currently going through a tumultuous period with Antonio Conte gone and the search for a new manager still ongoing. To add to the chaos, Paratici has been hit with a worldwide ban, leaving Tottenham in a state of disarray.
However, reports in Italy suggest that Tottenham are keen to keep Kulusevski and have no intention of letting him go. Tuttomercatoweb reported that Tottenham intend to purchase the young winger permanently, despite the ongoing issues with Conte and Paratici.
There is a consensus at Tottenham that Kulusevski is a player of immense quality and is worth keeping for years to come. The fact that Conte and Paratici brought him to Tottenham from Juventus only adds to the player’s allure.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham had an obligation to pay £ 31 million for Kulusevski last summer. However, this fee was on two conditions; that Kulusevski played 20 league games this season for at least 45 minutes in each, and if Spurs qualified for the Champions League.
Kulusevski has made 22 Premier League appearances this season, and only three of these were for less than 45 minutes. Thus, the first condition has already been met. However, Tottenham may now miss out on Champions League football, which would mean they would have to pay the same price to secure Kulusevski’s services permanently.
Of course, the absence of Paratici is a concern. It’s hard to plan for a summer transfer window when your director of football is not available. However, Tottenham are confident of getting a deal done.
Tottenham Hotspur are set to sign Dejan Kulusevski permanently, despite the ongoing chaos at the club. The young winger has shown glimpses of his immense potential this season, and Tottenham are convinced that he is worth keeping for years to come.
