Adama Bojang speaks on being linked with clubs like Tottenham Hotspur
Adama Bojang has supposedly been linked with Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur recently, with French club Olympique de Marseille also keeping an eye on him.
The 18-year-old Gambian striker says he is aware of the interest and is motivated by seeing his hard work paying off. He recently told BBC Sport Africa:
“I’ve heard about the news and I am excited about it. It boosts my morale. I’m focusing more on consistency which motivates me a lot, because seeing such clubs following you is a great feeling. “Through consistency it will make them hungrier for me.”
Bojang starred for the Gambia’s U20 team at the U20 AFCON recently where they reached the final of the competition, only to lose 2-0 to Senegal. He scored a hat-trick in the 5-0 win against South Sudan in the quarterfinal.
What should Spurs do?
Bojang then scored an important goal in his team’s semifinal victory against Nigeria. These performances have boosted his reputation and a move to a big club cannot be too far away.
His agency, SPOCS Global Sport, certainly have impressive European connections, representing players such as Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Sasa Kalajdzic, Newcastle United shot-stopper Martin Dubravaka and Bayern Munich starlet Kaan Bengi.
Spurs can think about this signing with a view to the future. Richarlison is there to cover for Harry Kane in the event of his unavailability or if he ends up leaving the club sometime in the future.
The England international is 29 years old and can’t go on forever. We have youngsters such as Dane Scarlett and Troy Parrott looking to make an impression but neither have shown they are ready for first-team action.

Bojang could be a good investment to bolster our academy, where he can then prove if he has what it takes to make the jump up. He is currently at local club Steve Biko FC and one can assume that Spurs won’t have to spend a fortune to sign him, especially if they are quick.
