Tottenham Hotspur on alert as Bayern Munich are willing to sell Marcel Sabitzer.

Tottenham Hotspur want Manchester United loanee Marcel Sabitzer

According to Daily Star, Tottenham Hotspur wants Manchester United loanee Marcel Sabitzer in their team next season should the Red Devils not sign him permanently.

The Austrian midfielder has been a key player for the Red Devils, helping them lift the Carabao Cup trophy in February and putting in a match-winning performance against Sevilla in the Europa League last-eight clash.

However, with Bayern Munich setting a minimum fee of £30 million for the 29-year-old, United may be priced out of a permanent transfer. Tottenham, along with Aston Villa and West Ham, are said to be monitoring the situation closely ahead of the summer transfer window.

Sabitzer’s box-to-box style and all-action displays have endeared him to United fans, and his consistency and versatility make him an attractive proposition for any Premier League club. Spurs, in particular, could benefit from his presence in midfield, given their struggles in that area this season.

Tottenham do not have a creative presence in midfield who is able to show his quality in attacking situations. Sabitzer could provide the perfect solution to this problem, with his ability to play as a central midfielder or attacking midfielder, as well as his eye for goal and tireless work rate.

The Austrian international has proven himself to be a reliable and effective player at the highest level, and his experience could be invaluable for a Spurs side looking to build a competitive project.

Sabitzer’s arrival would also be a statement of intent from the club, showing that they are willing to invest in quality players to take them to the next level. The Austrian will fit that bill perfectly.

Of course, Man United and Erik ten Hag will make sure that they do everything they can to make Sabitzer a permanent Red Devil in the summer. However, Tottenham must be attentive about the situation.
