Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur ‘interested’ in AC Milan shot-stopper Mike Maignan
Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are ‘interested’ in a move for AC Milan shot-stopper Mike Maignan, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.
The France international has been in impressive form for the Rosoneri this season. As a result, a number of teams in the English top flight have the 27-year-old on their radar.
Maignan’s current contract with the Serie A giants runs until the summer of 2026. Despite being eyed by Spurs and the Gunners, the Italian outfit are keen on keeping hold of their goalkeeper.
Arsenal are flying high in the league at the moment. Our North London rivals are at the top of the table in the PL. However, Manchester City are close on their tails in second place.
Aaron Ramsdale has been the mainstay in between the sticks for the Gunners since signing for them in the summer of 2021. In the current campaign, the England international has once again been pivotal for Mikel Arteta’s team.
As for Tottenham, Hugo Lloris has been our number one for over a decade now. The French national has been a great servant for the club over the years. However, the 36-year-old’s age seems to have caught up with him in recent seasons.
Our captain has not been at his best for some time now. In the current campaign, the veteran goalkeeper has made a number of errors that have led to goals. As a backup, we have Fraser Forster in our ranks.
Maignan has managed to replace Gianluigi Donnarumma at Milan. The French national has not let the Serie A giants rue the Italian’s departure in the summer of 2021.

Tottenham evidently need to find a successor for Lloris sooner rather than later. To that end, the 27-year-old has proven his talent. However, it remains to be seen whether Spurs will replace the 36-year-old with his compatriot in the coming months.
