Tottenham Hotspur could target Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez as Harry Kane replacement
Tottenham Hotspur could supposedly be looking at Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez as a potential replacement for Harry Kane.
The England international is set to enter the final 14 months of his contract in May and has been linked with a move to Manchester United. The 29-year-old is yet to win a trophy in his career.
With his best years passing him by, one can understand if he would want to leave Tottenham for a team that may give him a better shot at winning silverware. Amidst this, Italian outlet InterLive.it have claimed that Martinez could be on Spurs’ radar.
The Argentina international is one of the deadliest strikers in the game and has shown his worth for I Nerazzurri in the last few years. Inter Milan recognise that Kane could fetch a huge sum for Spurs.
Lautaro Martinez to Spurs?
And hence, they would want at least 80million Euros for the Argentine centre-forward. He has 19 goals and eight assists across competitions for Inter this season.
Clearly, he is one of their best players. To part ways with him, one can imagine that they would want fair compensation – just as we would want for Harry Kane if he does leave.
If it were up to Spurs fans, they would never let the England international leave N17. But if a situation like that arises, Daniel Levy and co. must make absolutely no compromises when it comes to searching for a replacement.

Players like Kane come through the academy just once in a century… we can’t expect to go down that route once again. If we do, there has to be a new signing who will immediately guarantee goals. That is non-negotiable, surely… It will be unimaginable if we let Kane leave and don’t throw money at a high-profile centre-forward signing.
