Julain Nagelsmann is ready to join Tottenham Hotspur in the summer
Former Bayern Munich head coach Julian Nagelsmann would only consider taking up the role of Tottenham Hotspur manager next summer, according to the Independent via Bild.
The German head coach does not want to take up the hot seat at Spurs this season. However, the 35-year-old is open to taking charge of the Lilywhites in the coming months.
But Nagelsmann has another condition to take up the role. The German wants to have a say in the North London side’s incoming and outgoings in the upcoming transfer window.
Last month, the 35-year-old stepped down from his role as the manager of the Bavarians and was replaced by Thomas Tuchel. At the Allianz Arena side, the gaffer had stumbled a bit in recent weeks.
Nagelsmann made a name for himself as a young manager at Hoffenheim. Then, RB Leipzig appointed the German to take charge of their exciting team. At Die Roten Bullen, the 35-year-old had them competing for the Bundesliga title and took them to the Champions League semi-finals in 2020.
After attaining the reputation of being a quality manager, Bayern appointed him in the summer of 2021. The young manager won the Bundesliga with the Bavarians in his debut season in charge of them.
Antonio Conte left the club last month. After that, Cristian Stellini, the assistant manager under the Italian, took charge of Tottenham on an interim basis. Unfortunately, the 49-year-old stepped down from his role after the 6-1 defeat to Newcastle United.
Ryan Mason has now taken the reins at Spurs for the rest of the campaign. However, we evidently need someone more experienced and tactically sound to take over the team.

Nagelsmann seems like the perfect fit for us. The German is young and ambitious. He also likes playing attacking football, which could be a welcome sight after the drab style of play under Conte. Hopefully, we will be able to get the 35-year-old to take charge of the North London side next summer.
