Man United pushing hard to sign Kolo Muani amidst Tottenham interest
According to the Sun, Manchester United are pushing hard to try and sign Randal Kolo Muani amidst interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
The 24-year-old striker from Eintracht Frankfurt has caught the eye of several top clubs across Europe, including Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, and Tottenham. The talented Frenchman seems closer to United though.
While United face stiff competition for Kolo Muani’s signature, they are reportedly the most eager to sign him. According to Sky Germany, the Red Devils are “pushing hard” to bring the French international to Old Trafford, considering him a higher priority than Victor Osimhen.
At 6ft 2in, Kolo Muani is an imposing figure on the pitch, and he has been in fine form this season, scoring 13 goals in the Bundesliga and two more in the Champions League. He joined Eintracht Frankfurt on a free transfer from Nantes last summer and has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting young strikers in Europe.
Tottenham, who have also been linked with Kolo Muani, have had a disappointing season and are virtually out of the top-four race. While they are still interested in signing the Frenchman, they may not be able to match United’s financial muscle.
United’s interest in Kolo Muani comes as they look to add a new No. 9 to their squad ahead of next season. The club has been heavily reliant on the goals of Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford this season.
Harry Kane is United’s top target in their striker hunt, but with Tottenham likely to demand a high transfer fee for their star player, the Red Devils could turn to other options, including Kolo Muani.
If United were to sign Kolo Muani, they would be getting a player with immense potential. He has already earned his maiden call-up to the France national team and was named in Didier Deschamps’ 26-man World Cup squad last year, coming off the bench in the final.
