"Others decide" - Tottenham star makes his displeasure known regarding controversial post-season Australia trip

Louka reveals with Tottenham ace Dejan Kulusevski told him ahead of Conte exit

Speaking to Juve News, Louka, friend of Swedish winger Dejan Kulusevski has revealed what the Tottenham Hotspur star told him ahead of the exit of Antonio Conte.

Louka, who played alongside Kulusevski at Atalanta, revealed that his friend confided in him just a week before Conte’s exit, stating that the problem was not with the manager, but rather with the players’ attitude.

It’s no secret that Conte had a tumultuous time at Tottenham. His infamous outburst after a draw against Southampton caused quite a stir, with the manager publicly criticizing the players for being selfish and questioning their commitment to the club.

However, despite his controversial comments, Louka’s revelation suggests that perhaps the players were at fault for the team’s poor performance and not the manager. It’s easy to blame the manager when things aren’t going well, but it takes a brave player to admit that they are not performing to the best of their ability.

Conte’s replacement, Cristian Stellini, did not fare much better than his predecessor, losing all four games he managed, including a humiliating 6-1 defeat to Newcastle. It was clear that a change was needed, and the club turned to their former player Ryan Mason to take charge as interim manager.

Under Mason’s leadership, Tottenham has shown a marked improvement in their performance. The team has played some of their best-attacking football in recent years, and they finally kept a clean sheet against Crystal Palace, securing their first win in five games.

Here is what Louka said about what Dejan Kulusevski told him about Tottenham a week before the Italian’s exit

“We spoke a week before Conte left and he revealed to me that the problem wasn’t the manager. The team must change its attitude, a change is needed.”

Of course, it’s still too early to say whether Mason will be given the job on a permanent basis, but the signs are promising. He has injected a new sense of energy and passion into the team, and the players seem to be responding positively to his coaching style.

However, we are in a situation where the club needs a more established name going forward and this could cost Mason. Regarding Kulusevski, his future at the club is far from certain, due to the fact that Tottenham might not qualify for the top four. It remains to be seen if the club buys him outright now.
