Alasdair Gold backs Tottenham to sign Juventus loanee Dejan Kulusevski
Speaking on his YouTube channel, football journalist Alasdair Gold has claimed that he thinks Tottenham Hotspur will sign Dejan Kulusevski permanently in the summer.
There have been numerous discussions and speculations surrounding the future of Dejan Kulusevski at Tottenham Hotspur. There is no certainty on whether the club sign the talented Swedish winger.
Initially, the loan agreement between Tottenham and Juventus included a clause that would have made the transfer of Dejan Kulusevski mandatory if Spurs secured a top-four position in the league.
However, Tottenham have not managed to do that. Despite the absence of a contractual obligation, Tottenham appears determined to make Kulusevski’s stay at the club permanent and sign him this summer.
Alasdair Gold, a trusted source among Tottenham fans, expressed his confidence in the matter during a recent episode on his YouTube channel.
“There’s been some reports I saw from Italy suggesting that his loan might end and he might go back to Juventus. From what I understand, Spurs expect to sign him. If you’re not aware, part of his loan deal was that if Spurs finished top four, it would become an obligation to sign it.”
“Otherwise, it would just become an option. But from what I understand Spurs are likely, or expecting to take that option. He’s very much being seen as a Tottenham player for next season.”
Kulusevski joined Tottenham on loan from Juventus in January of the previous year and made an immediate impact, showcasing his skill and contributing with vital goals and assists that helped the team secure a spot in the Champions League.
This season, the young winger faced setbacks due to injuries and struggled to replicate his earlier form. However, Tottenham recognize his potential and consider him an important addition to their attacking options.
The Swedish winger’s flair, creativity, and versatility would add depth and dynamism to Tottenham’s attacking lineup, giving fans ample reason to be excited about their team’s prospects.
