Tottenham are stepping up their interest in Arne Slot following Eredivisie win

According to the Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur are stepping up their interest in Arne Slot following his successful clinch of the Dutch league title with Feyenoord.

Despite Feyenoord’s efforts to secure their coach with a new contract, it seems that the North London side is determined to pursue Slot as their next permanent manager. Daniel Levy & Co. are pushing for his appointment.

After parting ways with Antonio Conte in March, Tottenham has been on the hunt for a new manager. They’ve seen interim manager Cristian Stellini come and go, with Ryan Mason currently serving as the Acting Head Coach until the end of the season.

However, with each passing week, potential candidates for the managerial role have been dropping out of contention. Julian Nagelsmann, initially considered a strong favorite for the job, has been ruled out.

Tottenham are keen on speaking with Slot, despite Feyenoord’s offer of a new contract. While the Dutch club are preparing for an approach from the Premier League side, serious consideration is being given to Slot for the vacancy at Tottenham.

Slot has reportedly been presented with a lucrative new £3 million per year deal by Feyenoord, but the allure of the Premier League could potentially see him earn double that amount at Tottenham.

To secure Slot’s services, Tottenham would need to pay a hefty £6 million in compensation to Feyenoord. Furthermore, the coach would be seeking a level of “ultimate control” over the Spurs squad.

If Tottenham manages to navigate these obstacles and secure the services of Arne Slot, they would be acquiring a manager who has just led Feyenoord to the Eredivisie title. The Dutch coach has proven his ability to guide a team to success.
