Crystal Palace open to selling Tottenham Hotspur target Marc Guehi
Tottenham Hotspur target Marc Guehi could leave Crystal Palace next summer, with the Eagles open to parting ways with him, according to French outlet Foot Mercato.
The England international has become an established Premier League centre-back. Having signed for the Selhurst Park side in the summer of 2021, the defender has been handed the captain’s armband.
However, with the South London-based club willing to sell the 22-year-old, a number of clubs have been alerted. Along with Spurs, English top-flight rivals Manchester United also have the youngster on their radar.
Guehi made his way through the youth ranks at Chelsea. Subsequently, after failing to get regular opportunities at the Stamford Bridge side, the defender opted to make a switch to Palace.
Over the years, the centre-back has been a pivotal member of the Selhurst Park side’s starting lineup. The Eagles have found their feet once again after Roy Hodgson’s return to the dugout.
The 22-year-old’s displays over the years have also made him a regular in Gareth Southgate’s plans. Last year in March, the youngster made his debut for the Three Lions in a 2-1 win over Switzerland in a friendly.
Tottenham’s backline has struggled in the current campaign. Cristian Romero has been our most reliable defender for some time now. But the Argentina international has also had his fair share of issues this season.
Eric Dier has been inconsistent at Spurs as well over the years. The North London side also have Davinson Sanchez, Ben Davies, and Clement Lenglet at their disposal. But they have been underwhelming in the current campaign as well.
